The eBusiness sector is responsible for the development, promotion and customer support for all alternative channels (public web sites, ATMs, web, phone, mobile, cash payment terminals), electronic banking services (merchant services and cards acceptance [EFT/POS and card-not-present], payments portal, direct debits etc.), value-adding services and e-business initiatives (prepaid cards & vouchers, alerts, multi-channel air-time top-up, cardless withdrawals, e-invoicing etc.) The eBusiness sector includes the Customer Intelligence and Experience Unit which covers customer insights analysis, campaign management and BTL marketing automation, interactive marketing (search engine marketing, social media etc.), customer experience management (customer satisfaction monitoring, customer experience enhancements and a center of excellence for user experience). At the same time, Sotiris Sirmakezis is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Piraeus Direct Services SA (an affiliate of Piraeus Bank that specializes in contact center services) and a Member of the Board at Geniki Bank,  Piraeus Bank A.D.
